Roya Noorinezhad, born 1986 in Savadkouh, Iran, 2006-2011 she studied photography (BA) at Tehran University, Faculty of Fine Arts. 2014-2018 she studied "photography studies and practice" (MA) at Folkwang University of the Arts Essen. 2015-2017 DAAD Study Scholarships in the Fields of Fine Art. 2019 "Atelier Galata" scholarship in Istanbul. 2020 "Two Roots" residency for artists from Germany and Ukraine, Cultural Centre Gedankendach. 2022 INITIAL 2, New Cooperation’s Special Grant “Akademie der Künste Berlin”. She is currently artist in residence at the “Bartels foundation” in Basel.
