Opening Night: Ink & Origins – Rediscovering Our Connections

Celebrate the festival's start with a powerful exploration of connection, identity, and embodiment.


Screening: “AGAMI: Prelude" by Yoo Ra Hong (10:04)


Yoo Ra Hong's film merges documentary and fiction, using tattoo art inspired by gills, skin, and bones of marine life to critique disparities in water access and highlight humanity’s bond with water.

Live Tattooing Performance

​

Following the screening, Yoo Ra Hong will conduct a live tattooing session (in cooperation with Zürich based Love Street Tattoo), further immersing the audience in the themes of the film by bringing them into a tangible, artistic experience.

This block features short films that explore personal and collective resilience in the face of social injustice and the ongoing struggle for women’s rights.

    Shafiei’s deeply personal works examine feminist movements, the intersection of social justice and identity, and the unique struggles women face, particularly within Iran's sociopolitical landscape.​

BLUE Movie Block: Landscapes of Being – Place, Presence, and Belonging

This block delves into our connection with the physical and spiritual landscapes we inhabit, questioning the nature of presence and belonging within these spaces.
