Lucero Barrientos is a Peruvian artist whose work is deeply inspired by the ancient Chavín culture, a pre-Columbian civilization known for its profound understanding of balance, symmetry, and cosmic symbolism. Her upcoming exhibition celebrates the Chavín people’s artistic legacy, focusing on elements like the Chakana, or Andean cross, symbolizing the three levels of Andean cosmology. Through this exhibit, Barrientos bridges past and present, crafting a visual language that honors her heritage while promoting cross-cultural unity and understanding, inspired by timeless Chavín design principles.
