Coastal Landscapes of England

The English counties of Norfolk, Dorset, and Somerset exhibit diverse geology, leading to significant differences in their coastal landscapes. The beaches of Norfolk are expansive, offering wide-open spaces. Dorset features the towering cliffs and beaches of the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that spans over 150 km and represents 185 million years of fossils and geology. In contrast, North Somerset's coastline showcases exposed rock formations, with cliffs and beaches composed of visible layers of limestone and slate. All images were taken with a Bronica SQ-AI and printed in the darkroom.
