This artwork is the only large landscape-oriented piece in the collection. It features a figure leaning back on her arms, as if beginning to lift her body in a gesture of surrender. Her body is painted in a spectrum of hues: highlights in cadmium yellow, mid-tones in nickel orange, and shadows in deep violet. She lies among grass, weeds, and thorns, depicted in muddied greens and darkened blues, with a few flowers that pale in comparison to the vibrant saturation of the figure. She is engulfed by her surroundings, symbolizing her role as the victim to the world's influences. Her pose seems almost curated, with her body positioned, tilted, in an angle where her vulva is not exposed, presenting a version of the female form that aligns with mainstream expectations. Her nipples are still highlighted with gold leaf but seem to instead take on a role of censorship rather than celebration. This piece offers a subdued representation, making it the least controversial and, paradoxically, perhaps the most provocative of the collection. The artwork is presented on a floating mount with a white vitrine, encased in a high-quality grey-washed walnut wood frame and protected by UV92 museum glass from Ateliers Juranord GmbH.
