This piece features a female figure rendered in shades of orange, highlighted with flame yellow and shadowed in burnt umber. The artist intentionally leaves parts of her body incomplete, revealing the underlying layers and technique. The figure sits with her vulva exposed, while her partially obscured face hints at a sense of vulnerability. The figure embodies a tension between the desire to be part of the feminist movement by posing exposed and her lingering discomfort ingrained by societies upbringing. Surrounding her, swaying plant life emphasizes this transformative phase she is experiencing. Gold leaf adorns her nipples and the slit of her vulva, offering an anatomically correct representation that is so rarely found in media and society. The artwork is presented on a floating mount with a white vitrine, encased in a high-quality grey-washed walnut wood frame, protected by UV92 museum glass from Ateliers Juranord GmbH.
